The Feelies - Cracy Rhythms Live Shows 1979-1980

Crazy Rhythms LIVE!
Here’s another re-post, by request. Wouldn’t mind doing this with The Good Earth as well — except that I don’t have a recording of the band playing “Tomorrow Today” onstage. I know they did it at least a few times. Anyone help me out with an mp3?
The reunited Feelies performed their classic debut Crazy Rhythms in its entirety a couple of times last year, once at the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in upstate New York and again at Maxwell’s (which was captured perfectly by the always incredible NYC Taper). All well and good — the Feelies still sound great playing these songs close to 30 years after the album was originally released. But since I’m a nerd, I wanted to put together a live version of the album featuring the original Feelies who played on Crazy Rhythms — Glenn Mercer, Bill Million, Anton Fier and Keith Denunzio. And that’s what I’ve got for you here today: Crazy Rhythms re-created out of live recordings at various venues in 1979 and 1980. Rougher, rawer and oh-so-fast, I think it makes a nice companion, even if nothing beats the original. At the end I’ve tacked on a bonus track — “The Obedient Atom,” recorded in live in 1980. According to legend, the Feelies submitted a recording of this song to Stiff Records as the follow-up single to Crazy Rhythms. Stiff declined and the Feelies didn’t release another album for six or so years. I guess their Feelie feelings were hurt.

Fantastica recopilación de temas en directo de los Feelies en distintos locales durante los años 1979 y 1980.
Todo el blog es muy recomendable.
